Integration through implementation

Unique worldwide, the MSc Programme on Environmental Governance (MEG) was established in 2005 to train at the academic level leaders able to reconcile different social perspectives with regard to the sustainable use of environmental resources as a basis for sustainable development.

It takes its departure from the conviction that integration of economy, society and the environment depends on the implementation of governance arrangements that combine market, state and civil society regulation modes.

Consequently the programme fills the strategic gap between the numerous political science, business management and law orienteted governance courses and environmental science courses by combining the fundamentals of environmental sciences with the complexities of social sciences.

The fact that the concept is obviously accurate and meets the demand is demonstrated by the huge number of highly qualified applicants from all over the world.
